eCopy Announces Software Partner Excellence Awards

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 7, 2008) - eCopy Paper Connection Forum - eCopy, Inc., a provider of document imaging solutions that integrate paper documents into business software applications, today announced the winners of the eCopy Software Partner Excellence Awards. The awards -- provided to Connector Lab, EMC Documentum and ScanPoint -- recognize firms for making business applications more productive by integrating eCopy software.

The award winners leveraged eCopy as their standard document imaging software platform for multifunction peripherals (MFPs) and scanners so users can easily and securely transform paper documents into business value. They were recognized at the eCopy Paper Connection Forum, an industry conference for office equipment dealers, MFP manufacturers, independent software vendors, system integrators and industry experts to collaborate on the advancement of document imaging strategies for integrating paper-based information with business applications and other electronic workflows.

"Each of our software partner excellence award winners provides outstanding business value by enabling office workers to capture paper-based information directly into digital workflows," said Vickie Malis, vice president of Marketing at eCopy. "The innovation they deliver demonstrates why software vendors have embraced eCopy as a standard for document imaging. We congratulate our valued partners -- Connector Lab, EMC Documentum and ScanPoint."

The winners of the 2008 Software Partner Excellence Awards are:

Connector Lab SIMS.net Connector for eCopy. This U.K.-based software vendor was selected based on selling the largest number of Connectors in Europe -- providing Connectors to eCopy Desktop™ and eCopy ShareScan®. Connector Lab's success results from a strategy highly focused on the education market in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the School Information Management System (SIMS) developed by Capita Children's Services. By creating a Connector with the capability to push documents from eCopy Desktop to SIMS and pull documents from SIMS to eCopy Desktop, Connector Lab facilitates network security and retrievability of scanned information. As a result, school personnel can more easily work with scanned documents on the network and include more information in electronic workflows.

EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender Connector for eCopy. EMC Documentum won the award based on having the highest selling eCopy Connector in the United States. The Connector enables EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender users to combine paper content with digital content to create a single content life-cycle solution. Together, EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender and eCopy ShareScan provide a complete content management solution in the small- to medium-sized business (SMB) market.

ScanPoint. This software vendor won for bringing the largest number (seven) of eCopy Connectors to market. ScanPoint has developed Connectors for UniConnect, TimeMatters, Interwoven, Great Plains, SureClose, Lexpi and Practice Master. ScanPoint has a strong presence in legal, banking, insurance, government, healthcare and other paperwork-intensive organizations.

All software partner applications were developed utilizing eCopy Software Developers Kits (SDK), which reduce the development resources required to provide integration to eCopy document scanning software. The eCopy ShareScan SDK enables users to develop native integration between back-end business applications and eCopy ShareScan. The eCopy Desktop SDK lets developers extend the capabilities of eCopy Desktop by enabling users to develop native integration between back-end business software applications and eCopy Desktop.
